💞There is something beautiful and empowering about joining forces to make a change, come have a feel for yourself! ⁠

"Day 4 at Gili Asahan Island / Selase⁠
.⁠
We had a basic health check up for the older, maritime lesson and fun English lesson for kids and then zero waste program for kids and the parents..⁠
.⁠
I was in charge in maritime lesson on that day. The team was consist of two people. Me with Coco as a program leader..⁠
.⁠
On that day inspiration team was helping us to manage 25 kids grade 1-6 in one class while we delivered the lesson. Thanks a bunch!⁠
.⁠
Maritime lesson was a little bit chaotic because their energy just beyond amazing, literally non-stop hahaha..⁠
.⁠
They were excited to follow the lesson especially about what tools are and aren’t allowed for fishing with the consequences..⁠
.⁠
Meanwhile I was blessed to know Coco as well, he’s so visionary. He’s still young but has a dream to make his hometown a better place to live in. You can do it Co!⁠

Overall I love every single moment that I spent with the kids, parents, the team, the committee, and Betty (a goat) as well..⁠
.⁠
P.s : I was kinda sad because the kids asked me when I would go home and how many days would I spend at Gili Asahan Island and when they got the answer, they said why it’s so fast. Well we still had 2 days more but I already felt sad to have to say goodbye later..⁠
.⁠
Another P.s: I just remembered one of the kids Ikrom gave me a hermit crab when we cleaned the beach and I put it on my left hand and it pinched my skin. It’s kinda hard to take it off but the kids helped me and they did it. It left a memory on my skin hahaha..⁠

Last P.s : How I love the so peaceful island, hearing sound of the waves and staring thousands of stars with my bare eyes every single night 💙"⁠

Roz has Down Syndrome, no one in the island village knows exactly what that is and no one else has it. He had never met anyone else with his condition before there two lovely ladies walked into the village! ⁠
⁠
It was a powerful experience which brought him (and us) MUCH JOY and we are sure he will never forget it! We are so thankful that these paths crossed and so many laughs were shared, we hope you can come and visit us again soon! ⁠

Di Gili Asahan, salah satu pulau kecil yang terletak di Barat Daya Pulau Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Pulau yang dahulu terkenal sebagai salah satu pulau penghasil mutiara terbaik, namun ditinggalkan sejak terjadi krisis moneter. Berdasarkan informasi dari seorang teman, pulau ini dihuni oleh sekitar 35KK. Anak-anaknya tidak banyak, tapi akrab satu dengan yang lain. Belajar, mengaji, dan bermain bersama menjadi rutinitas mereka. Mereka pintar-pintar, dan keingintahuannya besar. Walaupun hanya semalam, beruntung bagi saya karena pekan lalu menyempatkan diri ambil bagian dalam kegiatan @ki_lombok serta berinteraksi dengan mereka.⁠
